Naturally Healthy Gums & Teeth

by admin on July 10, 2009

Many people rely on medication to get good teeth and gums. While we don’t condemn using medication or following your dentists advice, we would like to provide you with some methods to heal your teeth and gums the natural way. We wont mention the obvious, which is brushing your teeth. Brushing your teeth is the best way to get your blood circulating to your gums.

  1. Exercise – My dentist was the first to tell me this one and you probably need to do it anyways! Your teeth rely on your gum health and the best way to keep healthy gums is to get your blood circulating. And the best way to get your blood circulating to your gums, besides brushing your teeth is to exercise. Exercise, obviously, is a great way to keep your whole body healthy!
  2. No Sugar – Another practical thing to promote tooth health is to remove sugar from your diet. Sugar pretty much helps all of the bad bacteria in your body to grow and become stronger, including the bad bacteria that sits on your teeth. Removing pop from your diet is a definite must to keep your teeth healthy. Drinking pop is like watering and fertilizing your weeds. Here is a decent page with funny images on how sugar is bad for your teeth: http://www.healthyteeth.org/cavities/sugar.html
  3. Buy a Sonicare – The Sonicare toothbrush not only cleans your teeth really well, but when used properly on your gums can do an excellent job of getting the blood flowing and increasing circulation in that area.
  4. Good Toothpaste – Be sure to use good toothpaste with really good ingredients. When you take a liquid supplement often times it is suggested to put it under your tongue and wait a little while. Why? Because that is the quickest way into the blood stream. It would make sense therefore that we be careful with the liquids that we have swishing around in our mouths. Because of this, its a good idea to use good, natural toothpaste. Some examples of a good toothpaste would be Toms, Jason, etc…
  5. Natural Whitener – Baking Soda is amazing for whitening teeth. In only a few evenings of brushing your teeth with baking soda, you should see a great improvement in how white your teeth are. You should also notice that your teeth are smoother and more polished, as if you just got done with the dentist. Be careful when you brush as the baking soda, depending on how much you use, can get a little gritty and rough on the gums initially.
  6. Take Good Supplements – Be sure that you are taking enough quality vitamins & minerals every day through what you eat, and the supplements you take. If your gums are in need of repair, and you are doing everything you can to heal them, consider taking the Tooth & Gum formula from HerbDoc.

We hope this helps you. In today’s busy lifestyle it is really hard to maintain a healthy body, let alone healthy teeth. As with anything good in life, healthy teeth and a healthy body takes discipline to achieve.
